The answer to this question should be obvious, right? Well it turns out that there are tons of people out there who want to make money on YouTube, but they don’t want to make videos because they simply can’t or they just don’t know how. So in this article I’m going to show you how to make money on YouTube even if you can’t (or don’t) make videos!…
How to Set up a YouTube Channel
Whether you’re interested in becoming a bona fide YouTube star or simply using it as an outlet for your passion, setting up a channel is simple.
All you need is a Gmail account (which most of us already have) and a YouTube account. If you don’t have one yet, set one up here . Once logged in, head to your My Channel page where you can customize everything from thumbnail images to featured videos.
After you’ve customized your channel and are ready to start posting, click Upload. Here you can add a video from your computer, phone or tablet and then decide how public you want it to be. This is important because a video that’s public will be available to anyone who comes across it, while one that’s only visible to friends or just your subscribers will make it harder for people to stumble upon it.
Once you’ve selected your privacy setting, type in a title, add any tags or descriptions you like and then hit Publish. Your video will immediately go live on your channel and will be available for anyone to watch—whether they’re logged into their own YouTube account or not.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully uploaded your first video to YouTube. But what do you do now? For starters, it’s important to keep these best practices in mind

Maybe you have great audio and could sell an audiobook of your popular YouTube tutorial. Maybe you’re a skilled artist and could sell posters of your work through sites like Redbubble or Society6.

Out-of-the-Box Ways to Make Money on YouTube (Without Making Videos)
It’s possible to make money on YouTube by leveraging other content.
In fact, you can make money on YouTube without creating your own content at all. You just need to use your knowledge of another niche to build a following and promote affiliate products that are related to that niche. The easiest way to do so is by building an authority site or video channel in a related field. If you already have a website or video channel with some traffic, these ideas will help drive more visitors to it, too!
Here are 2 ways that you can do so:
Posting Work From Other Content Creators.
Publishing third-party content is the simplest and most common way to make money on YouTube without making videos. For example, YouTube’s aggregation strategy allows you to post video content from other video creators.
YouTube under the creative commons license allows you to post other peoples content without infringing any rights.
This way you can be able to have some content in your channel without a hassle.
Make sure you choose the best niche which your audience or subscribers will love.
Posting other peoples content will be the best option if you don’t have the right kit to create your own videos or when you don’t want to be seen on camera.
Make sure you review YouTube creative commons license before diving in into these.
Buy an existing YouTube channel
There’s no rule that says you need to start a YouTube channel from scratch.
If you have some cash you can buy a more established YouTube channel from an existing subscriber.
This way you can start with an already acquired subscriber base and some content in your library.
Network with other Youtubers
The biggest reason I see people making money on YouTube is that they have a large network of Youtubers to promote them. This means you will need to make friends with other Youtubers and try and get them to review or feature your products. If you don’t have any connections, go and comment on their videos and start building relationships with other youtubers.
It’s a lot harder to make money on YouTube if you don’t have friends. The best way to get friends is to help others. Help other Youtubers out, leave comments, Like their videos and subscribe to them. If they reply and start talking to you, try and build that friendship as it will come in handy later down the line.
If you can’t make friends with other Youtubers, try looking at social media. Start commenting on random peoples pictures and videos, they will start to notice and check out your profile. Comment on their videos too which means it’s more likely that they will feature you in one of their own videos.
Once you have established some connections, talk to them about your product and see if they would be interested in reviewing it for their audience. In return ask them if they are willing to promote your products on their social media and website. If they say yes that is a great result. If they say no then it’s not always a bad thing as you now have someone you can get into contact with if you need help or advice later down the line.
Market your channel
Many people think that becoming a successful YouTuber or Let’s Player is as simple as hitting record. But if you want to make money, it takes more than just pressing a button. The key to success is twofold: Building your audience, and diversifying your income streams.
The first step to making money is building an audience. Even if you have a killer product, it won’t do much good if nobody knows about it.
The traditional way to build an audience is through social media and word of mouth. This can be effective, but it takes time, effort, and resources to build a following that way.
Many successful YouTubers invest in paid advertising or hiring social media managers who are skilled at growing their brand organically through platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
If you’re interested in investing money into growing your channel, it’s a good idea to diversify your income streams.
YouTube provides several ways to do so.
Perhaps most importantly, there is paid advertising. There are three ways that YouTubers can earn money with ad revenue: Display Ads, Overlay Ads, and Audio Ads.
Display ads are similar to those on other websites and videos, while overlay ads play as a small video before your content starts playing.
Audio ads are also available to YouTubers. The ad plays as a short audio clip before your video starts playing. Audio ads aren’t as profitable as overlay or display ads, but they can be very effective at building your brand and establishing yourself as an authority in your niche.
If you’re just starting out on YouTube, audio ads can be a great way to attract an audience and start earning revenue quickly.
As your channel grows, you can also invest in sponsorships.
Sponsorships are similar to ad buys, but they typically come with a lower rate of return. It can be easier to negotiate sponsorships than advertising deals, however, and it’s a good way to gain exposure for your brand if you’re new to YouTube.
Finally, if you’re interested in selling your own products and services on YouTube, you can set up an affiliate program.
This means that you get a portion of every sale that comes through your channel.
Some YouTubers are able to make very significant money with affiliate marketing; although it takes a lot of time and effort to build a large enough audience to be able to sell products or services.
With all of these income streams available, it’s easier than ever to make money on YouTube. However, most of them take a lot of time and effort to build up.
You’ll need to invest both in building your audience, as well as adding paid advertising or affiliate links that generate revenue for you.
Once you have a good foundation for earning money, however, there are many ways to earn additional revenue from your videos.
YouTube could be a great side hustle and perhaps even a massive revenue stream for those with the right balance of skills and determination. Due to its global reach and massive popularity, it’s an excellent platform for making money remotely.
