8 Ways to Make Money Online without Spending a Dime

Making money on the internet is indeed a rising trend nowadays.

Getting paid to do what you love online, whether it’s creating YouTube videos, publishing articles, or creating apps, can seem like a pipe dream if you don’t have much money to get started with.

Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to make money online without spending any of your own cash up front, so even if you’re just starting out as an entrepreneur, it’s never too early to start earning extra income.

Here are eight different ways to make money online without spending a dime.

1) Make YouTube Videos

Posting your own unique content on YouTube is one of the best ways to make money online. While there are various methods for making money from YouTube videos, such as paid advertising, sponsorship, and merchandise, you can also earn more simply by uploading your videos and enabling monetization.

If you choose to go down that route, we recommend starting out with AdSense.

AdSense is a straightforward way to earn money through your YouTube videos. You’ll need at least 4,000 public watch hours before you can apply and once you’re accepted, you’ll need to add some code to your account that will allow Google AdSense access.

Once you have an active AdSense account, just make sure all of your videos are optimized for revenue and select whether or not they’re appropriate for advertising.

This will prompt you to fill out some more information, including your target audience and pricing. AdSense offers different types of ad formats for YouTube videos, with options for banners at five-second intervals, skippable video ads, and non-skippable video ads after five seconds.

For most people, it takes anywhere from one week to two months before their AdSense account is approved and monetized.

Once you are paid, Google will deposit money into your AdSense account or directly into your bank account.

If you have more than $100 in your Adsense account, Google will deposit funds in your bank account within 1-2 business days.

2) Upvote on Reddit

By simply creating an account and upvoting other people’s content, you can begin earning small sums of money.

However, be warned: If you’re looking for quick cash on Reddit, it won’t come easily. Submitting low-quality posts is a great way to ruin your reputation and hurt your ability to earn real money—that takes time.

If you’re willing to put in that effort, though, there are numerous ways you can use Reddit as an income source. From reading and posting on niche subreddits, upvoting interesting threads, creating content of your own, and more, there are dozens of ways you can earn money with Reddit.

These include participating in Secret Santa gift exchanges and beta testing new products. If you’re looking for less time-intensive ways to make money, there are numerous subreddits where you can earn small sums of cash or free products by completing microtasks. There’s also an entire category of subs dedicated solely to cryptocurrency.

3) Complete Microworkers Tasks

Microworkers offers a number of different tasks that you can complete online for cash. Each task only takes about 5 minutes, but there are enough tasks to make an impact on your monthly income.

Many workers earn $100+ each month by completing these easy jobs. You can use your earnings to purchase Amazon gift cards or donate them directly to the charity.

Microworkers is an excellent way for students, retirees, and anyone else with a few minutes free throughout their day, to make some extra money!

4) Sell on Amazon FBA

We’ve all heard about Amazon FBA, but what does it mean?

Amazon FBA stands for Fulfilled by Amazon. FBA sellers send their goods to an Amazon warehouse where they are stored, packed, and shipped out on your behalf. This means that you don’t have to ship anything yourself. You also don’t have to take up storage space at home for your inventory.

When you sell on Amazon FBA, you don’t have to worry about charging customers international shipping fees either. Amazon takes care of all that. This is a great option for sellers who have sold out their inventory or are looking for another revenue stream.

Once you’ve decided that selling on Amazon FBA is right for you, it’s time to get started. Here are some things to keep in mind when you begin your journey.

Pricing your products can be difficult. You want to make sure that you’re making a profit, but you also want your product to stand out among competitors on Amazon. If you have an existing website with an existing audience, pricing is easier. Your customers are already familiar with your brand and will know whether or not they should pay for your product over another similar one. Selling on Amazon is new territory for most people, so it may take some trial and error before you get it right.

5) Review Products

Reviewing products online is also a great way to make some extra cash online.

It doesn’t take much time and can be done very quickly, easily, and efficiently while sitting at your computer. You can visit sites like Amazon or look on retailers’ websites to see what’s new or popular in their store and write reviews based on your personal experience with that product. Write about how it worked for you, why you liked or disliked it, whether you would recommend it for others looking for something similar, etc.

6) Earn from Referrals

As we mentioned above, affiliates and influencers are always on the lookout for great products they can promote as an affiliate. If you’re producing quality content on your site and have a large following, you could easily attract thousands of new customers when you promote other people’s goods and services. Just remember that by law, you must disclose that your recommendation is an affiliate marketing link to avoid any legal trouble.

If you want to get into affiliate marketing, you’ll need a website first. There are plenty of services that can help you set up an effective website with no programming knowledge necessary. Just sign up for one of these services, create your site, and begin putting together content around your chosen niche.

7) Get Credit Card Rewards with Apps

Getting credit card rewards is one of my favorite ways to make money online. There are all kinds of great apps that pay you cash, airline miles, or gift cards for buying things you already do online. For example, when I buy something on Amazon, I earn credit card rewards through their rewards store – and it doesn’t cost me an extra dime!

There are all kinds of credit card rewards programs you can use – but some of my favorites include eBates, Credit Karma, and Honey.

eBates gives you 1% cashback at over 2,000 stores. When you refer your friends and family, they’ll give you $10 for every person who makes a purchase of $25 or more. You’ll also get a $5 bonus just for signing up!

Credit Karma gives you cashback on almost every purchase you make. In addition, they’ll monitor your credit score and give you notifications about any changes. They also offer free identity theft protection in case anything happens down the road. I’ve been using Credit Karma for years, and it’s one of my favorite ways to make money online!

Honey makes you money by shopping at your favorite stores and taking surveys. You get cashback just for searching online or playing games on your phone – it doesn’t get much easier than that!

Check out their websites for more details.

8) Start a Business Online

If you’re looking for ways to make money online but don’t want to spend any money, starting your own business is an excellent way to go. One of my favorite methods? Dropshipping. (It’s also one of my favorite hobbies!) By dropshipping, I mean that you essentially sell merchandise from other retailers on your site.

By selling products from companies like Zappos, which is an Amazon company, you can sell virtually any product and ship it directly to your customer. Here’s how it works:

You create a product page for whatever item you want to sell. When someone purchases it, Amazon ships it for you and keeps track of everything. You get paid by Amazon on whatever commission rate you agree upon (usually between 4% and 15%). It’s that simple!

To make money online, start your own dropshipping business! If you’re not quite ready to start your own eCommerce site, sell your products on someone else’s. Either way, there are lots of ways to make money online with little or no risk. Now get out there and start earning some cash!
